Please allow us to continue using Thorp Arch by following these few simple requests!

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS / PLAYERS WHILST USING

THORP ARCH TRAINING GROUND

 

Parents are encouraged to attend matches and training sessions at Thorp Arch but we ask that you obey the following guidelines set out below:

 

1.    Parents should endeavour to make sure players arrive on time for coaching sessions and  be appropriately prepared.

 

2.    No visitors must enter the perimeter fence around the Astroturf – only players and officials are permitted on the Astroturf .

 

3.  Correct footwear must be worn on the Astroturf – NO BLADES.

 

4.    Parents must not enter the field of play or dressing room areas at ANY point during, or at the end of a match or training session unless requested to do so by officials from Leeds United or Leeds Schools’ FA.

 

5.    Parents are to set a good sporting example by supporting the team/players in a positive manner.

 

6.    Please remember Thorp Arch is A NON-SMOKING IN ALL AREAS

 

 

 

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS

 

1.    Leeds Schools’ FA expects the highest standard of behaviour, personal hygiene and manners at all time.

2.    Learn and observe the laws of the game.

3.    Never argue with the referee or their assistants.

4.    Players must wear shin pads and must remove any watches or jewellery before games and coaching sessions.

5.    Players must show good sportsmanship at all times.

6.    Good team spirit is important therefore encourage teammates especially when a mistake is made.

7.    Do not overact when your team scores.

8.    Always listen to your coaches and do as they ask.

9.    Verbal, racist and physical abuse is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

10.                       Walk away from an opponent who is verbally abusing you and never retaliate.

11.                          Players are expected to shake hands with referees and opponents at the end of games no matter what the result.

12.                        Accept victory modestly and defeat graciously, remember that our Association will be judged by your behaviour

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD SPECTATOR?

ü     Show that you appreciate good football by clapping loudly and cheering.

ü     Give a warm and generous welcome to both teams.

ü     Cheer for your team but also encourage your opponents.

ü     Never boo anyone, including the officials.

ü     Stay on you side of the pitch, away from officials, so that they can coach.

ü     Always maintain the very high reputation schools’ football has earned from its appreciation of good play by both teams.

ü     Recognise skill, enthusiasm and sporting behaviour in both teams.

ü     Although you are not playing, remember to act in a sporting manner, as our Association will be judged by your behaviour.

ü     Win., lose or draw, appreciate the efforts of all the players and officials.
