 Sheffield  3 .... Leeds  0  ( Junior Star League Match )- Sat 28th Nov 2009

Another away defeat for the Leeds u12's, this week playing away at the University pitches in South Sheffield.
Leeds started ok, but on 5 minutes a quick break by Sheffield led to the opening goal, a good through ball was nearly smothered by the advancing Leeds keeper Lewis Wray, but the very wet ball proved too tricky for the Leeds keeper to hold onto, and unfortunately the loose ball was tapped into the empty net by a Sheffield striker. 1-0.
Leeds tried in vain to create chances for an equaliser, but got caught in possession in midfield on 15 mins, and Sheffield burst forward very quickly to fire past the stranded Leeds Keeper for the second. 2-0. Leeds were competing well in midfield, but did'nt really create any clear cut chances for the strikers up front, and the first half ended 2-0 to Sheffield.
It was always going to be difficult in the second half for Leeds playing up the slope, and so it proved, Leeds being under pressure most of the second half, but kept going to their credit, but it was Sheffield who scored again on 55 mins just before the end, a quick break from midfield ended in another tap in goal, despite Leeds shouts for a free kick, the referee played on.... FT 3-0.
