After the excellent performance from last week, Leeds under 13s went out with confidence against a very strong Wakefield side.

Right from the off Leeds applied pressure on Wakefield with the first 20 minutes of the game never letting the ball clear the Wakefield half. We were privileged to see some terrific team spirited football being played from Leeds.

Leeds took control of the game with Sam Capitano chasing down every ball, confidence rose as Bradley Newton, Kieran Adams, Daniel Meston, and Daniel Blacker the Leeds defence pushed up to the half way line giving support to the midfield.

The first half continued with Leeds always looking for that break on goal, but it seemed to elude the Leeds boys. As the first half continued Ben Palmer and Stephen Smith came on for Tyrell Walwyn and Marcus Day, again and again Leeds pressured Wakefield's goal with out success.

The first half ended with Leeds having 90 % of play and the score line 0-0.

The second half started the same as the first with Leeds showing strength and skill, winning everything from headers to challenges.

Then out of the blue, Wakefield's first break found Leeds 1-0 down, Leeds stepped up a gear as Joshua Jepson made a perfectly timed run to connect with a pass from Piteu Crouz to hit the back of the net.

Leeds again took control with inch perfect passes, and some beautiful football being played, Leeds were soon rewarded for there efforts from a throw in from Daniel Meston for Joshua Jepson to play a perfectly weighted pass for Piteu Crouz to bury the ball in the back of the net.

With the two Daniels making timely controlled passes and sweeping up everything in sight Leeds never seemed to look back as Tyrell and Marcus came back on with fresh legs, Jason Prior hit a 40 yard ball for Stephen Smith to take control of and sink it in to the Wakefield goal.

Leeds boys never stopped, always wanting more, always encouraging each other, as full time drew closer Piteu Crouz played a perfect ball for Marcus Day to finish the game off 4-0.
