v North Tyneside ESFA U13 Cup - SATURDAY NOVEMBER 13th
There is not much to say about this match, it was a long way to drive, the weather was cold and windy, and the 3G Astroturf definitely didn't suit the Leeds team. North Tyneside were up for it from the off and Leeds didn't get going at all.
Whether North Tyneside train on the 3G or not we may never know but they adapted to the bounce and pace better and deserved their win. Long range shots and tricky bounces undid Leeds too often and chances at the other end were few and far between.
The only bright spot on a dull and dark day was Sam Chippendale's first goal for the City Boys. Whilst it didn't help in the final analysis it did cost Dad a few quid!!
A day to forget, sometimes you can't explain football and this was one of those days. Let's hope the New Year sees a return to business as usual!
